The R & D council is a wing of AAA comprising of professionals having a mission to foster and nurture quality medical research among amcolians with a view to generate, promote and propagate health related knowledge thus contributing towards improvement of health of people of Pakistan. This will be achieved by grooming researchers at undergraduate/postgraduate level, by providing appropriate pre requisites for perusing high quality scientific research and by facilitating the dissemination of their work.

The overall aim of the council will be to promote research activities amongst the graduates of Army Medical College and within medical Institutions and develop a culture conducive to this end. It will take the form of identifying areas in which research is needed, encourage and facilitate researchers, provide research grants, assist in publications and stimulate the application of this research in health care.
